About this guide: who writes it, how numbers are checked, how to correct us

An independent guide with one method and dated sources. Here is who is behind it and how to hold it to account.

An independent guide with one method

Tigbuy Spreadsheet Crossover is an English guide to buying catalogue finds through Tigbuy, written independently. Tigbuy did not write or approve these pages. Links to Tigbuy and to the product catalogue carry tracking tags, so we can see which pages people use.

The guide has one method and applies it everywhere: split what a find costs beyond its price into the part that follows the price and the part that follows the grams, and read which is larger. Everything else on the site, from the shelves to the glossary, exists to make that reading easier to do and to check.

We would rather leave a gap than fill it with a guess. That is why there are no category weights, no rankings and no totals here. It is written for people who already have a few finds in mind and want to know, before paying, whether the bill beyond the price will be mostly percentage or mostly freight.

One-method card: split the cost beyond the item price into price side and weight side, read which leads, with a list of what the site will not do.

How each number on this site was obtained

  • Line prices and the zero fixed charges: Tigbuy’s quote service, read by us on 17 October 2026 for sixteen destinations at four weights.
  • The service charge formula: Tigbuy’s fee page, as published on 17 October 2026.
  • The 6.500 CNY dollar rate: the dollar figures in the same quotes and Tigbuy’s payment settings, 17 October 2026.
  • The operator, storage period, warehouse check and customs rules: Tigbuy’s Contact, storage, quality check and customs pages, 17 October 2026.
  • Crossovers and every worked example: our own arithmetic on the figures above. Examples are labelled as examples and are not readings of a particular listing.

Screenshots of Tigbuy pages were taken on 17 October 2026. The estimator screenshots were made with the page’s login redirect held back, and their right-hand parts are cropped. Prices in them are Tigbuy’s own quotes for that day.

Some things we chose not to use. No figure on this site comes from a third-party price tracker. We did not estimate weights for product categories, because we have no measured averages to offer. We did not quote community reviews or publish ratings. Where two Tigbuy pages disagree, we follow the one that gives more detail about its own source, and we say in the text that the pages differ.

The product photos on the shelves come from the catalogue entries they link to. The prices and weights in our worked examples are not taken from those entries; each example says so.

Telling us a reading is wrong

If a quote you see on Tigbuy differs from a reading here, write to [email protected]. Include the destination, the weight, the line name as Tigbuy shows it, the date and, if you can, a screenshot.

We re-run the reading, correct the page if it is wrong, and record the change on Updates with the date. We do not answer questions about individual orders; those belong with Tigbuy.

Reports of a broken link or a catalogue entry that no longer exists are just as useful. Tell us the page and the link text, and we will replace or remove it.

Correction checklist: destination, weight, line name, date, screenshot; then re-run, correct, log.

Where these numbers come from

Tigbuy’s estimator page sends visitors who are not signed in to the login page, so most people never see a quote before registering. The quote service behind that page answered our requests without an account, and that is what we read.

On 17 October 2026 we sent 64 requests, a little over a second apart: sixteen destinations at 200, 500, 1,000 and 2,000 g, in a 10 x 10 x 5 cm box so that box size would not affect any line. For each of the 196 quote lines we recomputed the price from the first-step and step fields and got the same figure the service returned, every time. The screenshot below is the estimator form itself, captured with the login redirect held back.

Numbers like these change. Each reading on this site carries its date, and Updates keeps the change log and the next planned re-check.
