Price side: the Tigbuy service charge, counted on item price plus China freight
One rate, one base. The service charge follows the price of a find and ignores its weight, so it is the easy half of the reading to work out.
What the percentage is charged on
Tigbuy’s fee page lists the total for an order as four parts: item price, China freight, international freight and the service charge. The service charge is ten percent of the first two added together. International freight is not in the base, and neither is anything you choose later at the warehouse.
That base is what this site calls the charge base, and it is the numerator of the price-per-gram reading. A ¥150 item with ¥12 of China freight has a ¥162 base and a ¥16.20 service charge. The same item with free seller shipping has a ¥150 base and a ¥15.00 charge.
The percentage is the same on every line and to every destination. It does not care what the find weighs, which is why a heavy, cheap find can have a service charge smaller than one freight step.
Tigbuy lists lower rates for its Gold, Platinum and Diamond membership tiers. This site and the dial use the standard rate throughout.

Fee composition: what sits on each side
A note on names first: Tigbuy’s pages call the same ten percent both the service fee and the service charge. This guide uses service charge throughout. Put every charge you can meet on a Tigbuy order into one of three groups. The item price and China freight are what the seller asks. The service charge belongs to the price side. International freight belongs to the weight side.
Everything else is optional and is priced when you submit a parcel: packing options, and an optional insurance plan whose premium is three percent of whatever amount you choose to insure. None of the lines we sampled came with free insurance. Each payment method adds its own charge, which the checkout page lists.
Tigbuy’s Cost and Fees page gives the total as item price, China freight and international freight, with no service charge in it. Its “What is the fees?” page includes the charge, and that is the one we follow.
This guide does not add the groups together. The point of separating them is to see which one a find is mostly about.
The exchange rate cannot move the crossover
Tigbuy prices everything in yuan. When the site shows you dollars, it divides the yuan figure by its own table rate. On 17 October 2026 that rate stood at 6.500 CNY per US dollar: the quote service returned $28.46 next to ¥185 for the US line at 1,000 g, and $10.00 next to ¥65 for a French line at 200 g.
Both sides of a find go through the same division. A ¥15.00 service charge and a ¥125.00 freight figure become $2.31 and $19.23; the weight side is still about 8.3 times the price side. Changing the display currency, or the rate itself, scales both bars by the same factor and leaves the needle where it was.
The rate does matter to how much you pay in your own money, and the real rate on a top-up is only visible after signing in. It just does not decide which of the two charges is larger. That is why the dial has no currency setting.
There is one way to get this wrong. If you take a dollar price from Tigbuy’s pages and divide it by grams, then compare the result with a crossover in yuan, the reading is off by the table rate, a factor of 6.5. Keep price, China freight and crossover in the same currency, and yuan is the one the lines are priced in.

Domestic freight, the quiet part of the base
Sellers charge China freight for getting an item to Tigbuy’s warehouse. Many listings ship free; others charge a few yuan. Tigbuy’s Fill & Buy form, used for links its search cannot read, pre-fills the field with 12 yuan until you change it.
Because it sits in the charge base, China freight raises the price side by a tenth of itself. ¥12 of China freight adds ¥1.20 of service charge. On a heavy find that is noise; on a light, cheap one it can be a large share of the price side.
It also raises the price per gram, which nudges a find towards the price side of the crossover. When you compare two listings for the same item, compare price plus China freight, not the price alone.

What the price side does not include
It does not include a per-parcel charge, because the quotes we read had none. It does not include international freight, packing options, insurance or payment fees. Nor is it collected at the moment you order.
A Tigbuy help article on payment timing puts the charge at the point where goods already in the warehouse are submitted for shipping, alongside freight. Coupons and membership rates apply at that same point. Those timing and coupon rules are a subject of their own; the article sits in Tigbuy’s help centre.
For the readings on this site, timing does not matter. The price side is ten percent of the charge base, whenever it is collected.
